Notes

Why you saved it,
in your own words.

The AI can tell you what a post says. It cannot tell you what you were going to do with it. A note is the one part of a save only you can write, and it stays on the item rather than in some other app.

In short

A note in Nemivo is what you write about a save: why you kept it and what you meant to do with it. Notes sit on the item and on a Notes page with its own search, an Ask answer can be kept as a note along with the saves it cited, and “has notes” is something an automation rule can match on.

One line now,
obvious in a year.

The whole feature is a text box in the right place, which is exactly why it gets used.

  1. 01

    Write it on the item

A note lives on the save it belongs to, so the reason and the thing are never in two different places. "For the kitchen quote" is enough; you are writing to yourself.

  2. 02

Or write one on its own

A note does not have to be attached to anything. A standalone thought goes in the same place as the rest, so there is one page to look at rather than two.

  3. 03

Keep an answer as a note

An Ask answer can be saved as a note with the ids of the saves it cited, so the conclusion and the evidence behind it stay together after the conversation is gone.

  4. 04

    Find them again

The Notes page holds everything you have written, with its own search across the text, so a half-remembered line is findable without opening the save it sits on.

The workspace

Small, and load-bearing.

Notes are the part of the library the AI did not write, which makes them the part worth trusting most.

Attached, or standing alone

A note either belongs to a save or belongs to nothing in particular. Both live on the Notes page.

Answers with their sources

A saved Ask answer keeps the ordered list of saves its citations pointed at, so the [1] and [2] in the text still mean something later.

Their own search

The Notes page searches the text of your notes directly, which is the fastest way back to a thought you know you wrote down.

A rule can see them

"Has notes" is a condition an automation can match on, so the saves you bothered to annotate can be treated differently from the ones you did not.

Private by default

A note is yours. Nothing about a note is published unless you deliberately share the collection its item is in.

Deleted with the save

A note attached to an item goes when the item goes, so deleting something does not leave an orphan behind.

The limits

What notes are not.

This is a place to write a sentence, not a second product bolted onto the first.

Not part of item search yet

Searching your library reads the save: its title, description, creator, summary and tags. It does not read the note attached to it. Notes search is on the Notes page, and joining the two is a change we have not made.

Not part of an Ask answer

The sources handed to the model when you ask a question are the saves themselves. What you wrote about them is not retrieved, for the same reason: it is not in that index yet.

Plain text

No rich formatting, no attachments, no nested pages. If you need a document, you need a document; this is the margin of a bookmark.

No collaboration

Notes are single-player. There is no shared note, no comment thread and no mention, and a shared collection link is read-only in every direction.

The long version, including what is stored and where the AI sits, is on how it works.

The best notes are the ones you did not type.

Ask a question, get an answer with citations, keep it as a note. The reasoning survives, and so does the trail back to the saves it came from.

FAQ

Notes questions.

On the save they belong to, and on the Notes page, which collects everything you have written in one list with its own search.

Remember everything.
Forget nothing.

Nemivo reads the caption on everything you save, writes the summary, adds the tags and files it away. Months later you ask for it in your own words.
