Two saves of one article almost never share an identical URL: one came with utm_source on it, one did not. This ignores the noise and compares the page, which is why it finds what your browser does not.

This free tool finds the pages you bookmarked more than once. It compares the page rather than the string, ignoring utm_source and other tracking parameters, a trailing slash, a www prefix and http versus https, which is why it catches duplicates your browser’s own check misses. You get the duplicates to delete, or a cleaned list keeping the oldest save of each.
How to get the file.
- Export your bookmarksChrome and Edge: Bookmarks → Bookmark manager → the ⋯ menu → Export bookmarks. Firefox and Safari have the same thing under Manage bookmarks and File → Export.
- Drop the file inRead in your own browser. Nothing is uploaded, nothing is stored, and there is no account.
- Take the list, or the cleaned oneDownload the duplicates so you know what to delete, or the de-duplicated list with one entry per page, keeping the oldest save of each.
Duplicates are a symptom.
